Need to add an affiliate disclosure to your blog, but hate having to copy and paste it into each post? Learn how to make the process easy and painless.
If you make use of affiliate links in your blog posts, having a proper affiliate disclaimer in your blog posts is a necessity…if you want to stay out of legal trouble, that is. đ
Most bloggers just copy and paste their affiliate disclosure into their posts. While this works well enoughâassuming you donât accidentally forget to add it before publishing your post, oops!âthere are much better ways of covering your legal bases in your blog posts.
How to add affiliate disclosures to your WordPress blog posts without having to copy and paste
So, how can you add your affiliate disclosure statement to your blog posts easily and painlessly?
By using a blogging system!
In this context, Iâm using âblogging systemâ to refer to a WordPress plugin that helps you take care of some of the more menial tasks on your blog, like adding those pesky affiliate disclosures.
What are the benefits of using a plugin to handle your affiliate disclaimer?
- You can add your affiliate disclosure in one place, then just click a button to decide where you want to display it.
- You can choose to display your disclosure across all posts with the flip of a switch: no need to copy and paste it manually into each post.
- If you need to update your disclosure text in the future, all you have to do is edit your settings: no need to go back through all of your existing content.
- Thereâs no risk of accidentally forgetting to add your disclosure or mistakenly putting it in the wrong place.
- Your disclosure automatically appears in the same place and with the same formatting on each post it displays on.
Sounds amazing, am I right?
