Make sure Easier Business Blogging has been installed and activated.
EBB comes with many different settings and configuration options. They can be a little overwhelming at first glance, but this guide should help you make sense of them!
To access EBB’s settings page:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- In the lefthand menu, click “Easier Business Blogging” under Settings.
EBB’s settings are separated into two different sections: Global and Default. Global settings apply across your entire site. Default settings are used as the default state across your site, but can be overridden on individual posts/pages (Currently, settings for individual modules fall under the Global or Default sections, but settings for each module will eventually be grouped together for clarity).
Global settings guide:
- Autopinning of hidden images should: – This setting ONLY applies when autopinning of hidden Pinterest images is turned on. If autopinning is turned off, it will have no effect. It controls which of the images in your post are able to be pinned by readers.
- Happen on non-vertical (square or horizontal) images ONLY – This option allows readers to pin any vertical images in your post without redirecting them to pin your hidden image. If readers try to pin a square or horizontal image, they will be redirected to pin your hidden image.
- Happen on ALL images, regardless of orientation – This option does not allow readers to pin any of the images in your blog post other than your hidden Pinterest image. If you want to make sure that all readers pinning your blog posts use only the hidden image you have set, select this option.
- Affiliate disclosure: – This is where you set the text you’d like to use for your blog’s affiliate disclosures. Formatting you apply here should be preserved as well.
- License key: – Your EBB license key. Entering your valid license key here entitles you to receive support for EBB and enables auto-updates for the plugin. You should have gotten a copy of your license key in the email you received after purchasing EBB, but you can also log in to your account and find your license key at any time.
Default settings guide:
- Autopin hidden images by default? – If you’d like to control which images your readers can pin, consider turning this setting on. When turned on, this setting prevents readers from pinning certain images on your blog, instead redirecting them to pin your hidden Pinterest image.
- Show affiliate disclosures on posts by default? – If you’d like affiliate disclosures to be displayed on all of your blog posts, turning this setting on is the easiest way to make that happen. When turned on, this setting will insert the affiliate disclosure you set in Global settings at the beginning of your blog post.
- Show opt-ins on posts by default? – When turned on, this setting will insert opt-ins near the end of each of your blog posts.
- Which opt-in should show on posts by default? – Selecting an opt-in here sets it as the opt-in that will show by default on your blog posts.
- Show opt-in title on posts by default? – When turned on, this setting will display the title of your selected opt-in by default on blog posts.
- Show opt-in featured image on posts by default? – When turned on, this setting will display the featured image of your selected opt-in by default on blog posts.
- Show opt-in description on posts by default? – When turned on, this setting will display the description of your selected opt-in by default on blog posts.
- Show opt-in fine print on posts by default? – When turned on, this setting will display the fine print of your selected opt-in by default on blog posts.

Adding EBB to a site with a lot of existing content
To make the transition to using Easier Business Blogging as smooth as possible, you may want to leave a lot of the “default” settings turned off initially. That way, you can test out EBB’s features on your new content without having to go back and update all of your existing content first. Then, if you love EBB (and I hope you will!) and want to use it permanently, you can slowly turn those default settings on as you get your existing content updated.
